Hello World!

I bring to you all my thoughts and experiences of everyday life as of a Mum or 2 boys, a wife, a NHS worker, an avid DIYer and everything else in between.

Why Elkster?? This goes back to university my friends had very good imaginations and even better story telling abilities this somehow ended up with ourselves and most of our friends having some sort of animal name. My designated animal was an Elk along with my partners in crime Kam and Badger.

That was my undergrad years and I went on to graduate and get a job in the NHS where I then completed my MSc before I settled down got married and by 2 boys came along. They are best and most exhausting thing to ever happen to me! Motherhood has been a lot harder than I could have imagined but I would do anything to make my children happy and give them the best life I can.

I also love a good DIY project and before settling down in to our forever home (which still needs plenty or work) I did a a few doer uppers to earn the money for the deposit on our current home. It is harder than ever to fit these projects in but we do our best.
